Oltenia de sub Munte has a network of roads that offer the possibility of visiting by bike the tourist attractions and villages at the foot of the Căpățănii Mountains.
The main road axis, which also constitutes the southern limit of the targeted area, is the national road 67 Rm. Vâlcea – Târgu Jiu.

Another road, further north and parallel to the national road, much less traveled and well-known but very picturesque is the real road of Oltenia below the mountain, which crosses the region from west to east, starting from Olănești, passing through Păușești Măglași, Dobriceni, Bărbăți, Pietreni, Bistrița, Horezu, Vaideeni to then continue in Gorj to Polovragi and Novaci. These main east-west axes are intersected and connected to a series of roads along the valleys, in the north-south direction, thus offering the possibility of traveling circuits from a few kilometers to over 100, with different starting points.

On these roads, in the vast majority of them asphalted, we offer you several variants of cycling routes.
